“Weird Al” Yankovic’s Word Crimes video is funny, brilliant, and to the point. (Oops, I almost forgot the Oxford comma in that sentence.)
It pains me to see the depths to which the English language has fallen in 21st century America. Even professional journalists don’t seem to know the difference between less and fewer, and I want to scream every time someone uses I as an objective pronoun.
I will get off my soapbox so you can watch the video. Enjoy!

This is so much fun! However, we need to keep in mind those who will never be able to do this right. They definitely need an editor! Hire one freelance if not with a publishing house.
Sadly, you are right that some people will never get it, but the dysfunction has expanded to people who “should” know better, like editors at publishing houses and TV writers. Even the news people don’t always use good grammar and some of their punctuation is astonishing to me.
Hey, hey, hey, hey! Punctuation right? Weird Al still has it! I’d love to see what happens in his mind.
He is wildly creative, isn’t he?
