Author Carly Carson is here today to tell us about her romantic comedy, Duke of Devonwood, one of the fourteen stories in the Summer Lovin’ Boxed Set, featured in Tuesday’s blog. Welcome, Carly!
My story in the Summer Lovin’ anthology is called Duke of Devonwood. It’s a modern-day romance about a British duke and the American woman who tangles with him over her inheritance. She’s got lots of schemes to gain control of her inheritance, and he is determined to withstand all of them. If only she weren’t so enticing…

I thought it would be fun to share a few pictures from my England files that might relate to this story.
Is this not essentially British? Fortnum and Mason is a high end grocer, where the British nobility, including the royal family, actually shop.
Here’s a cake fit for the bride of a duke (sold at Fortnum’s). I really wish I could taste it to see if it’s as good as it looks!
Here is where a duchess should shop for her pet.
And here is a pillow fit for any noble dog.
Westminster Abbey! It was good enough for Kate and Will. I can see my heroine getting married here. 🙂
Please tell me, which is your favorite picture? Or what is your favorite thing about England?

Bio: Carly Carson is a contemporary romance author with a collection of unusual awards, including: Romance Junkies Debut Author Award, Red Sage Publishing Readers contest winner, and eFestival of Words nominee for Best Romance. Carly will probably never marry into the British nobility, as she is already happily married to Traveling Man. But there’s nothing wrong with a little fantasy in one’s life, right? She has three children, who provide a daily dose of reality, even though they are almost perfect (just ask them!). Carly loves traveling, outdoor sports, reading, visiting, and her large extended family.

Hi Linda, Thanks for hosting me. Sorry I’m so late stopping by. Had an unavoidable commitment today. The blog looks great!
Happy to have you, Carly. Fun post!
Adding my own thoughts on the pictures. I love the Fornum & Mason’s entrance with the 18th century sentinels, but I have to say the Sniffany & co. photo is my favorite. So cute. When I was in London 12 years ago, my friend and I had lunch at F&M’s then went to Hatchard’s to shop for books. It was so cool to actually be in the same bookstore ladies of the ton shopped in during the Regency!
